Tabcorp Holdings Limited today announces that the name of its proposed demerged Lotteries & Keno company will be The Lottery Corporation Limited.
The Lottery Corporation Limited will be Australia's leading lottery operator with licences to operate in all Australian states and territories except Western Australia. The Lottery Corporation’s product portfolio will include Powerball, Oz Lotto, Saturday Lotto, Set for Life, Instant Scratch-Its and the remainder of Australia’s official lotteries. Its licenced operators will also provide Keno products to venues and customers across NSW, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia and the ACT (including a digital licence).
Post the proposed demerger Tabcorp Holdings Limited will continue to be listed on the ASX. Tabcorp will operate TAB, Australia’s leading omni-channel wagering operator, with assets including Sky (a multi-venue, multi-channel racing and sports broadcaster); well established and profitable international businesses in the US and Europe; and MAX (Australia’s largest provider of services to gaming venues).
Both Tabcorp Holdings Limited and The Lottery Corporation Limited will be standalone, market-leading ASX-listed companies with distinct operating profiles, strategies and growth opportunities.
Tabcorp is progressing the implementation of the demerger, which it aims to complete by June 2022, subject to obtaining all shareholder, court, regulatory and other approvals.
